DIRECTIONS BY ROAD:
From Edinburgh
On city bypass, turn off at junction for Carlisle and take A702 for Peebles (23 miles).  At Peebles turn left at roundabout and head for Innerleithen (6 miles).  On arriving in Innerleithen, turn right onto the B709 (Traquair).  Drive a quarter of a mile and take a left into the modern housing development and then first right into off street car park.  Apartments are at far end of car park.

From Newcastle
A696 to Jedburgh, then the A68 through Jedburgh. After Newtown St Boswells, turn left onto the A6091 and bypass Melrose. The road becomes the A72 at Galashiels where you should follow the road signs for A72 to Innerleithen. Drive along Innerleithen's High Street and look for the signpost B709 (Traquair) on your left towards the end of the High Street.  Drive about a quarter of a mile and take a turning to left into modern housing estate. Car park is first right and apartments are at far end of car park.

From Glasgow
Route 1 - Head east on the M8, then turn off at Newhouse to take the A73 to Carluke before joining the A70 to Carnwath.  At Carnwath take the A721 to Blyth Bridge.  Take A72 from Blyth Bridge to Peebles. Continue through Peebles town centre on the A72 and on past Glentress to Innerleithen village, around 10km further.  Shortly after entering the village, look for the turn off to the B709 on your right (Traquair).  The house is on the right after 50m.
Route 2 - M8 Glasgow to Edinburgh then joint city bypass east. turn off at junction for Carlisle and take A702 for Peebles (23 miles). From Carlisle
Take the A74(M) to junction 15 (Beattock) and turn onto the A701. Continue on A701 through Moffat and about 11km past Tweedsmuir, turn right onto B712 (signposted for Stobo). After around 12km the road meets the A72 where you should turn right for Peebles. Once through Peebles town centre, continue on the A72 for Innerleithen. On entering Innerleithen, take the turn off to the B709 on your right (Traquair). Drive a quarter of a mile and take a left into the modern housing development and then first right into off street car park. Apartments are at far end of car park.

From Dumfries
A701 to Moffat and continue through Moffat on A701 and join the B712 (signposted for Stobo). Follow the B712 to the A72 and turn right onto the A72 towards Peebles. Continue through Peebles town centre on the A72 and on to Innerleithen. On arriving in Inneleithen look for the turn off to the B709 on your right (Traquair). Drive a quarter of a mile and take a left into the modern housing development and then first right into off street car park. Apartments are at far end of car park.
